#Nut the #AncientEgytian skygoddess  protects the journey of the deceased pharaoh  with her body (find him on his barque) as it proceeds through the #Netherworld. In the evening, she swallows the sun (red dot) . It travels through her body and is re-born again in the morning (red dot with wings), reflecting the re-birthing of the  #Pharaoh.

#Birthing used to be the realm of the  #Feminine. But by the time of the Ancient Greeks the male gods got it into their heads that, by gosh, they too have every right to be creators, and VOILA! Zeus gives birth to Athena! And not having a uterus is no obstacle for a god! He’ll just invent one from that All Powerful Brain of his! And why not?

Uterus-envy anyone?

Three spirals of #goddess energy from #Newgrange, England 3000 BC) are a symbol of our ancestors' understanding that there are three levels of the spirit world, lower, middle and upper. You can access these levels for spiritual healing and guidance through #shamanic practice or journeying with a drum. To access and honor the lower world they even erected giant stone circles to represent the portal/vagina of Mother Earth. Then through ceremony, rituals, and celebration they became one with the spirit world, finding harmony within and peace with the universe. hmmmm.... maybe we need to build more stone circles.

HELLO! ANYBODY OUT THERE? A thousand hands from 10,000 years ago are wondering if there are any humans left listening. They've been picking up on the chaos and insanity here, so i guess it's a fair question.
The Cueva de los Manos in Argentina is littered with hand prints made by ancient peoples using hollow bones to spray paint their signatures on the walls. And we thought we were so clever.
