It feels so promising to have the warming rays of the sun returned and the brown earth exposed again. Can the power of Green be far behind? Life is good.
On the other hand, with the intense solar eruptions, solar eclipses, full moon, climate mayhem, and human chaos, I think it is safe to say that most of us are also feeling supremely challenged and perhaps a bit lost at this time. Not a week or a few days goes by and there is another shadow-self human mega-drama playing out before the whole world, wreaking havoc with our sense of ourselves as a species. What other species behaves so badly?
We have lost our connectedness to ourselves, to mother earth, to the universe, to Spirit. We have set ourselves adrift in our own sense of “specialness”.
This is the time for lightworkers to step forward and stand firm in our conviction that light and love are the essence of life itself, the force that drives everything. We must become the beacons of light. In the words we choose, what we say, how we think and behave first towards ourselves and then towards others, how we “be” in every moment of life; these are powerful forces in shaping what manifests. It means telling yourself the naked truth, telling others that truth, and calling on others to do the same. Being real, who you truly are is the powerful transformer that inspires everyone you interact with and calls on the higher self to see what is truly important.
How do we anchor ourselves in our own truth? How do we find the center of that gyroscope that weaves and spins, and always maintains its center?
I will share with you some of the daily practices that I find helpful.
ANCHORING OURSELVES FOR THE DAY
I begin the day by breathing my body. I invite the love of the universe, the ancestors, guides, fairies, angels, archangels, Teachers, and Spirit to fill me with love and light. I imagine every cell in my body responding with great joy, and that joy emanating light outward.
When I feel all lit up, I concentrate all this energy in my solar plexus, my sun; the me that radiates into the world. Who I am and what I am creating is lighting up the world and my world. In order to do this, you will find your spine straighten and you sit and stand taller , for there needs to be space for this sun grow and to radiate. This is good for your internal organs, for you have made more room for them to do their jobs too. And your own sense of confidence and being is enhanced. Then you can come back to that image during the day to remind yourself who you are.
GREETING THE SUN
another practice that gives me great joy is to greet the sun as it breaks the horizon. At that time, I can look at the sun without its blinding me. I hold up my hands to receive its rays as well as my eyes. And I thank the sun for coming once again. I bless it and let it bless me. The sun sends us its love, light, and life force, and I send it back with gratitude. sometimes I sing.
I know I am in good company when I do this. Our dog Bruna often sits facing the sun in the morning before it appears. I have seen my horses all facing into the morning sun. Then I say young boy Buddhist monks singing to the rising sun in a video that I found so inspiring. In a Czech fairy tale my mother read me over and over again, the prince needs to find a way to pluck three golden hairs. from Grandfather Sun in order to fulfill the challenges he is facing, so that he can become the king and marry the princess. Figuring that our takes a lot of help from the helping spirits.
