Isis as the Tree of Life is suckling the pharoah. Although the pharoah is the most powerful figure in Ancient Egyptian culture and its highest priest, it is the Goddess who gives life, power, wisdom, and legitimacy. Thus the power of the Egyptian culture was based on a balance of the sexes, and was essential to its survival for so many millenia.
Our ancestors understood the significance of the number two. On a cave wall in Gibralter from 10,000 BC, a pregnant mare is decorated with bi-lines, indicating it takes the principle of two to create life. But two golden women from Turkey of 4000 BC may indicate a mother-daughter lineage. After all, the mitochondria, the power source in every cell, are inherited from the mother. The mitochondria of a sperm cell is located in its tail, which drops off when it fertilizes an egg. Therefore all mitochondria come from the mother. So, guess who carries the lineage??? |
